Kiwa is an independent highly qualified organisation having certification as its core business. This is being supported by inspection, testing, technology, training and consultancy. Kiwa has customers in many sectors with an emphasis on water, energy, construction, infrastructure, automotive & transport, agro, feed & food, safety & security, health & care and environment. Customers come from manufacturing and process industries, (business) services, public and private utilities, (local) government agencies and international institutions.
Independent
Kiwa is strictly independent and not involved in manufacturing, trading or other activities that might endanger Kiwa’s impartiality. There is no external influence on the decisions or opinions of Kiwa regarding the outcomes of Kiwa’s own operational activities like certification, testing, inspection or technology and research.
Kiwa inspected as well
Kiwa’s management and personnel understand the crucial importance of objectivity and impartiality in carrying out certification, testing and inspection. Therefore, Kiwa analyzes its activities on a regular basis to identify possible conflicts of interest to ensure undisturbed objectivity and impartiality. Additionally, Kiwa is evaluated in a transparent way by several accreditation bodies, audited by external organizations and qualified by governmental bodies.
Authorised Economic Operator (AEO)
Enterprises involved in international trade and commerce may apply to Customs for the status of Authorised Economic Operator (AEO). AEO certificate offers different advantages in international trade. Customs grants various facilities for physical customs inspections to enterprises with the AEO status.
Enterprises that would like to qualify for the AEO status must meet a number of criteria. The AEO-status and the guidelines for granting the status are based on the Community Customs Code and the pertaining implementing regulation. There are three kinds of AEO certificates:

Transport en logistiek Nederland (TLN) is the largest and leading representative in the road haulage and logistics services. TLN represents the interests for its 6,000 members (ranging from small to large transport logistics service providers). TLN provides a comprehensive range of services and individual care of the collective interest, both nationally and internationally. The TLN headquarters is located in Zoetermeer, also there are 5 regional offices across the country. Currently TLN has 118 employees.
TLN was founded in 1993 by the merger of CVO wegtransport (originated from PCB and KVO) and NOB Wegtransport. And so the largest business organization became a reality. On January 1th 2011 TLN merged with KNV goederenvervoer (GVN.)
